The Jerusalem cross is a central cross surrounded by 4 smaller crosses and represents the command to spread the Gospel around the world, a mission that started in Jerusalem. It was part of the coat of arms of the short-lived Jerusalem Kingdom (1099-1203 AD). This 3/4 " cross is 14K gold as is the 18" chain and was purchased in Jerusalem from a Palestinian Christian artisan in the mid-1980s. The reverse side says Jerusalem K14. Donated by Sara Gentry.
