1946 PLYMOUTH COUPE "UGLY DUCKLING"
Built and shown by Jerry Johnson from Sioux City Iowa in the 1950's this car was well known throughout the entire midwest. The car was last registered around 1965 when it was put into climate controlled storage and remained untouched until last year when we uncovered the car after Mr. Johnson passed away
The car is completely untouched in every way, it is exactly as it was built in the 1950's- original body work and paint, original interior, original driveline. It is an absolute time capsule as to how cars were done in the 50's. Many have tried to recreate this look- this car is real and original
Total mechanical refresh done by Dakota Muscle when the car was brought out last year to get it running and able to drive. All fluids changes, brakes gone through, fuel system cleaned and entire car cleaned and polished
Body work and paint done by Lahan Body in South Sioux City, NE in the 50's (still looks great today, a true testament to the quality of work they did decades ago)
Engine is a 427 CI Chrysler Hemi (early style bored and stroked and balanced)
Original intake with 6 carbs
Howard billet cam
Joe Hunt magneto
13:1 JE pistons
4.78 Plymouth rear
Real magnesium American Racing wheels (ultra rare)
This car is a true midwest legend and one of the last surviving unaltered 50's era cars left in existence
